Parent Resources, Education, and More

As their child’s first and most important teachers, parents hold the key to unlocking their child’s future. Each child who is deaf or hard of hearing has a unique potential for acquiring Listening and Spoken Language (LSL), and with the right training, support and guidance, all parents have the capacity to help their child unleash that potential.

DePaul School supports our families and provides all of the tools necessary for success in their unique listening and speaking journey.

Parents recognize each other’s challenges and struggles immediately; there is nothing like looking in the eyes of another parent and recognizing that they know exactly what you are going through.

Education and Resources

Parents are their child’s first and most important teachers. At DePaul School, we recognize the vital role that parents play in their child’s education by offering support, educational opportunities and workshops to help parents gain confidence and skills to be the best teacher they can be for their child.

The Parent Group

We are an organization of parents and grandparents who team together to support our students, teachers, and the School. The DePaul Parent Group hosts several family activities and fundraising events annually.
